Faraday Circuits Launches New IMS Capability
28th August 2013
Faraday Printed Circuits Ltd, of Washington, Tyne & Wear, United Kingdom, today announced the acquisition of a Tongtai Machine Co. CVC 700 CNC Auto-loading V-Scoring System as part of a continued investment programme to further strengthen the company’s technology capabilities.
Due in late September the machine will further expand the capacity and technology levels of the Washington plant which currently supplies to customers across the UK, Europe and Asia
With Lubricating Mist as well as Chilled Air cooling systems, producing superb quality V-Scoring on aluminum panels, it will enable Faraday to further compete in the rapidly expanding LED lighting market by adding IMS (insulated metal substrate) material as a standard capability, alongside multilayer, PTH double sided, flexible, flex-rigid and conventional pcb manufacture. LED lighting uses IMS for heat management due to its thermal efficiency.
Jamie Pearson, Managing Director, commented ‘We are delighted to be adding this capability and offering it to our customers. The demand for low energy LED lighting is growing and by further expanding into the market we are strengthening our UK manufacturing operation and helping to secure the jobs that it supports.’
