Faraday's committment to staff development reached new heights of recognition in February when Jamie Pearson, Managing Director, was invited to Buckingham Palace to meet Her Majesty the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh.

Jamie attended the Palace as a guest of City of Sunderland College who were our chosen providers over recent years for our Skills for Life and Business Improvement Techniques programes.  Our partnership with the College has been extremely successful in our staff gaining a total of over one hundred qualifications between them. The benefits of which have already been documented on this website.

The College were collecting a Queens Award for Higher and Further Education for their incredible work in raising literacy and numeracy standards across the City.  Faraday were one of a very select group of students and key employer partners asked to accompany College staff to the Palace.

The main presentation took place in the Palace Ballroom.  Later everyone had the opportunity to speak to the Queen and the Duke in the Picture Gallery which houses some stunning artwork by the likes of Rembrandt.
